Engineered Solutions: HOW TO MANAGE WASTE WHEN THERE IS A SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT IN OUR COMPLEX WASTE CAN BE CATOGORISED AS SOLID & LIQUID WASTE. SOLID WASTE: Paper, Cardboard, Cloth, used baby Nappies & sanitary Napkins, all kinds of Plastic waste, Broken Glass and bottles, Vegetable / Fruit discards etc., All solid waste should be put in the dust bin only, which is collected by the housekeeping personnel and is disposed of suitably. LIQUID WASTE: all kinds of waste water from Kitchen, Bathrooms & Toilets are being treated at the Sewage Treatment Plant. The STP is a biological process and it is run with pumps and blowers installed in the plant. STP is not a place for any solid waste, as solid waste does not dissolve in water and hence can clog the pumps. When this happens the pumps will invariably get damaged and we will have a serious situation on hand, as we will no longer be able to transfer the waste water anywhere and the bad odour and our own waste water will make the place unbearable for our stay here and will cause health hazards. Thus to keep our STP running smoothly please help yourself and us by not dumping any of the above mentioned solid waste into the Kitchen , Bathroom or the Toilet drains. These items can also clog our plumbing lines. . LIFT
